You ASK, we ANSWER

Is constipation normal on the HCG diet?
Yes, constipation is very common while on the diet, especially due to the dramatic diet change.
However, 4-5 days is too long without a bowel movement, and we recommend that you should take a break from the diet at least until you are back on a regular schedule. Your health is of utmost importance and we do not want to take any risks.

Also, you might want to consult with your doctor as well prior to starting the diet again, just to ensure its right for you.

If I have Diabetes can I do the HCG diet?
Only a doctor can legally advise you on diabetes; be sure to check with your doctor if you have any concerns with your diabetes. However, this is what Dr. ATW Simeons had to say on the subject of hCG and diabetes:

"In an obese patient suffering from a fairly advanced case of stable diabetes [Type II diabetes] of many years duration in which the blood sugar may range from 3-400 mg%, it is often possible to stop all antidiabetic medication after the first few days of treatment [with hCG]. The blood sugar continues to drop from day to day and often reaches normal values in 2-3 weeks. As in pregnancy, this phenomenon is not observed in the brittle type of diabetes [Type I diabetes], and as some cases that are predominantly stable may have a small brittle factor in their clinical makeup, all obese diabetics have to be kept under a very careful and expert watch.

A brittle case of diabetes is primarily due to the inability of the pancreas to produce sufficient insulin, while in the stable type, diencephalic regulations seem to be of greater importance. That is possibly the reason why the stable form responds so well to the hCG method of treating obesity, whereas the brittle type does not. Obese patients are generally suffering from the stable type, but a stable type may gradually change into a brittle one, which is usually associated with a loss of weight. Thus, when an obese diabetic finds that he is losing weight without diet or treatment, he should at once have his diabetes expertly attended to. There is some evidence to suggest that the change from stable to brittle is more liable to occur in patients who are taking insulin for their stable diabetes."

What does 3X, 6X, 12X, 30X, and 60X mean?
Are you familiar with how the potency is determined with homeopathic products? If not, here's a break down. Basically, our product meets the 3x - 60x potency level, ensuring effective results.

1:1

1X

described as low potency by homeopaths, 1x is not considered homeopathic and requires a prescription to use
2X

1C

1:100
called higher potency than 1X by homeopaths, 2x is considered the base lowest level of potency by homeopaths although the base material and active ingredients are in it's highest concentration in this form.
6X

3C

10−6
called higher potency than 2-5x by homeopaths, even though the active ingredient is less prevalent at this stage, homeopaths term this to be more potent that 1x through 5x based on the theory of "water memory" termed by homeopaths, while no scientific evidence supports this theory, clinical evidence has clashed against this repeatedly portraying that patients taking 6x have reportedly experienced the same effect and result as those on a 0 scale of pure mixture.
8X

4C

10−8
As the dilution reaches this level it begins to become nearly impossible for our current days technology labs to find the active ingredient from when it started.

Can i continue taking my medications while on the HCG diet?
Homeopathic HCG formulas do not interact with any medications, including allergy medications, birth control pills or even antidepressants. However. even though there are currently NO clinically proven side effects to our Homeopathic weight loss formula, as with any diet we have to legally recommend consulting with your doctor to make sure this diet is for you and will not conflict with any of your specific medications.

Will HCG help with my diabetes?
The HCG diet can actually help prevent diabetes. Some of the best ways to prevent diabetes is to eat healthy, become active and of course, lose weight. While on the HCG diet, the dieter will eat healthy, whole foods that will help you establish new eating habits to help maintain your weight in the future. Diabetes is becoming an epidemic in the US. It is now the 7th leading cause of death in the United States using HCG to lose weight, along with a healthy diet and exercise afterwards, is believed to help lower that number.

Dr. Simeons discovered that it could actually help obese patients lose enough weight that they can eventually discontinue their diabetes medications. In Pounds & Inches he stated, ‘In an obese patient suffering from a fairly advanced case of stable diabetes of many years duration in which the blood sugar my range from 3-400 mg%, it is often possible to stop all anti-diabetic medication after the first few days of treatment. The blood sugar continues to drop from day to day and often reaches normal values in 2-3 weeks.’ Of course, you’ll want to consult your physician before discontinuing any prescribed medications

What if i get a cold while taking HCG or I already use medications? Is my diet doomed!?
This is really a good question, especially because a lot of us get colds during this time of year when the seasons change. Unfortunately if you get a cold on the HCG Diet, it can sometimes cause you to gain a little bit of weight. But there are some things that you can take if you do get sick.At the first sign of a cold, you want to take large doses of Vitamin C. It can also be combined with an antihistamine. And if you have been prescribed an antibiotic by your doctor, you can take that too.

For those who are taking medication I would recommend that you keep taking your medication while on the HCG diet plan. Never stop taking your medication unless you get the ok from your doctor. :) You should continue taking any drugs that are medically necessary, but it is important to disclose all medications and the diet protocol to your doctor before starting the HCG diet plan. The goal of the HCG diet is to improve your health, not worsen it, so no prescription should be discontinued without your doctor's orders. That said, some medication may slow your weight loss results, although the effect is unavoidable. But you will still be able to lose weight it just might not be at a fast rate like those who do not take medications while on HCG. But do not let this discourage you from begging or continuing the diet.
