APPLE BUTTER RECIPE - PHASE 2
Have you been craving butter during Phase 2 of the HCG Diet? Well, your future just got a little brighter with this HCG-Approved Apple Butter Recipe by Kimber. This butter is a delicious, yet healthy way to satisfy your cravings during Phase 2.
In a crock pot follow the directions below and add the following:
– Add as many cored & peeled apples your pot will hold (2 Teaspoons of apple butter = 1 apple)
– Generously sprinkle the apples with powdered stevia
– Add the juice of 1 lemon
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Cook on high for 1 hour. Turn to low and cook for an additional 10-15 hours depending on the color you like. The longer you cook the apples the darker and more golden your butter will be. Turn to high for 1 more hour at the end. Using a blender or a hand-held blender, puree the cooked apples until they are completely smooth, like butter, imagine that. Freeze the apple butter for storage or refrigerate in tupperware containers.
